
Montgomery County police arrested two people Monday night after finding them in a stolen vehicle with illegal drugs.
According to David Smith, commander of District 4, officers conducting a crime suppression operation identified a vehicle reported stolen from Rockville on Jan. 10.
Police located the car around 7:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Selfridge Road and conducted a traffic stop.
An adult male and female were taken into custody without incident. Officers said they found crack cocaine, PCP, drug paraphernalia, and cash inside the vehicle.
Both suspects were transported to the Central Processing Unit and charged with auto theft and drug-related offenses.
Smith praised officers for recovering stolen property from the community.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
